The Lead QA FLM is the first line contact within the technical function and work closely with the operations and supply chain function. The Lead QAFLM will be responsible for supervising the QAFLM's to ensure day to day Technical issues eg holds, concessions, non conformances , near misses,complaints are handled in a timely manner. The Lead QAFLM  will also ensure that processes and products throughout the factory and leaving site comply with agreed specifications with regards to quality and food safety. They will attend the Mara meetings, participate in zonal GMP and other relevant audits. They will monitor and record relevant checks on all aspects of production, as directed by the Quality Manual.  Highlight any non-conformances which may occur and take appropriate corrective action. 

JD aside the role involves supervising a small team of QAFLM'S, be the first line point of contact/ escalation for day to day food safety and quality issues.The role involves working with other departments  to create effective working relationships and foster an environment of continuous improvement. 

Biggest challenge for the role would be to ensure all food safety and quality issues raised are investigated, followed through and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner.

This role will attract somenone ready to take the next supervisory role or side way move in people management. This role will deputise for the Technical Manager thereby exposing the successful candidate to high level issues, people management and completion of personal development process for the team. The role will be involved projects be it as a leader or part of a team. Relevant internal and external training will be provided.

The role will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Hygiene and supply chain teams

Ideally, you would have previous QA experience in the bakery food industry and experience working within a team but if you have and inquisitive mind, a can-do attitude, and a desire to learn we can provide the right training and support to help you fulfil your potential.

Skills 
•Broad experience of the food industry, in particular Bakery manufacture is advantageous
•Experience of working in a GMP environment
•A strong awareness of allergen controls
•Proven track record for continuous improvement and completion of complaint investigations
•You will also possess excellent team working, communication and negotiating skills you will be well organised with good planning and time management skills.  

Qualifications
 Level 3 Food Hygiene 
•Level 2 HACCP
•Competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
•Trained Internal auditor
