Due to growth, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Site Services Lead within our Engineering Team who would work across our Northern Cluster factories (Fletchers in Sheffield and Kara Food Services in Manchester).

Reporting to the CI Projects and improvements Lead, the Site Services Lead’s key focus will be to manage all Legal Compliance actions, maintain the site standards and liaise with 3rd party contract support for all services relating to the sites infrastructure to ensure minimal site disruption.
The successful candidate will have worked in a similar engineering and continuous improvement position within a fast-paced environment previously. This a leadership role which requires the successful candidate to have good communication and influencing skills, has the ability to work cross functionally and work with stakeholders across various levels.
This role is a hybrid position, but you primarily would be based across our Northern Cluster, at our Fletchers and Kara sites.
This is what you’ll actually do!
As the Site Services Lead you will manage all site service activities for Fletchers & Kara Bakeries, maintaining high plant efficiencies in accordance with the site requirements and to control and maintain the high standard of building services and general repairs. You will provide the Business with solutions to improve plant efficiency and reliability. You will ensure all Legal compliance is managed to ensure all site activities meet the current legislation as well as monitoring utility consumptions and provide support to the Business Sustainability ethos.
You will be a member of the Business Senior leadership team and therefore will input to the overall strategic direction of the business. You will also provide the business with Capital and Development projects that either generate new sales or improve the cost base of the business. Planning and Managing 3<sup>rd</sup> party engineering support for all Site Service plant and ancillaries will be part of the role. As well as this you will be responsible for safe working practice and ensuring all plant is compliant to the requirements of the relevant Health & Safety Regulations.
As the Site Services Lead you will provide support to the site Health Safety and Environmental agenda, promoting safe work practices, recognising good behaviour, and constantly challenging when appropriate to drive improvement. It is important that you are a proactive influential individual as you will be motivating, engaging and developing the Site Services team to promote maximum efficiency within the department.
A key part to the role will include managing and controlling service budgets to achieve all key financial targets as well as managing control of all services to the Bakery, i.e. Gas, Electric, Water, Effluent Discharge.
The role would require you to implement and maintain a planned preventative maintenance system for all plant and machinery and to ensure all relevant records are accurate within the CMMS system. Another part of this role would be to assist the Site Engineering Managers with the development and deployment of the maintenance plan and strategy for the business.
You will contribute to the continuous improvement of business performance by achieving personal and site objectives, participating and fully supporting the site Operating Brilliance Process (OBP), and contributing to cross functional objectives if required.

· Experience in working in a similar position with a fast-moving environment.
· Experienced people manager who provides leadership to team members.
· Sound engineering background experience in either Mechanical or Electrical field.
· Experience of maintenance strategy development and of capital project management in a continuous process food / FMCG environment.
· Good communication, PC skills and familiar with use of Excel, Word & Workplace.
· Highly numerate with the ability to understand how to make improvements which influence company profitability.
· Proven track record of innovation and problem solving in delivering engineering solutions.
· Must have a flexible approach to work, be able to work on own initiative and be a confident decision maker who is able to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
