We have an opportunity for a National Account Executive to join our Commercial Foodservice Team in Manchester (Kara Foodservice).
Finsbury Food Group is a leading specialty bakery manufacturer. We constantly raise quality and efficiency standards and build long-term relationships within the foodservice channel. Finsbury offer a wide range of bakery products and are a leading frozen supplier into the Foodservice sector.
The National Account Executive will be the main contact for members of the prominent foodservice buying group and the primary contact independent wholesalers. They will proactively develop the relationship and financial position within the allocated accounts. Implement price adjustments as and when required. They will negotiate terms of trade with key customers and deliver budgeted numbers within all account responsibilities.
This is a fast-paced role, where the successful candidate will have proven work experience as a National Account Executive or Field sales experience, with preferred experience within the Foodservice sector, they will have experience with MS Office, particular requirement for strong excel skills/knowledge. They will be required to have an understanding of sales principles and ability to deliver excellent customer experience.
This role offers hybrid working based at Manchester, with a requirement to be on-site at least 3 days per week. On occasion you will be required to attend one of our other sites (Manchester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Cardiff or Salisbury) or to customer locations for meetings which could be weekly or monthly, depending on the requirement.

As the National Account Executive you will ensure effective communication and build strong relationships with individual members of the allocated buying group & independent customer base. You will work closely with the NAM responsible for head office control of the allocated buying group and agree promotion plans for customer base and communicate effectively to the business.
You will work closely with the NAM responsible for head office control of the allocated buying group, as well as the Finance colleagues to understand and improve the financial position.
As our National Account Executive you will work closely with the Kara Marketing / NPD team to understand the product launch and delist plans – so the plans can be effectively communicated to the customers in a timely manner. You will attend Trade events as and when required. You must have a Pro-active approach to new business wins for both branded and own label opportunities that will result in new, incremental sales and profit.

- Experienced in a customer facing role (ideally within the Foodservice sector)
- Experience in the Foodservice Wholesale sector
- Excellent planning, organisational, and written skills
- Excellent IT skill set
- Ability to work independently, self- driven
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Strong presentation, communication and influencing skills
- Understanding of the market and competitors
- Able to work closely with and manage a Commercial Executive / FSE.
